Celluloco.com discloses new launch date for Sony Ericsson XPERIA X2 to be delayed until January 2010

We don't know what kind of curse has been put on Sony Ericsson but troubles at the company just don't end. The latest information that we received states that their Windows Mobile flagship X2 will be delayed until January 2010.

After the suspension of the Sony Ericsson Satio sales in the UK and the touchscreen issues that the Aino had, the XPERIA X2 was the company last hope for the Christmas shopping spree.

According to the Vodafone website however it will only be available in January, when the market is certainly not going to be as favorable. It will then be joined by the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 in the struggle to keep the Swedish-Japanese company on its feet but we suspect it might be a bit too late.

With everyone waiting for a host of new announcements at the MWC in Februrary, Q1 is certainly not the best time to try and sell your flagships. Granted, most new handsets won't come to the market until at least Q2 but in the high-end mobile phones segment sometimes users are willing to wait a little if they're promised better bang for their buck.

Sony Ericsson have obviously forgotten their lesson from the the late release of the original X1 and the Satio

Sony Ericsson XPERIA X2 to become official arrival at Celluloco.com for September 2009

The long sought-after Sony Ericsson XPERIA X2 is finally ready to make an official appearance. No more teasing, we are about to see its true specs at last and will do so sometime next week. That will come in handy to finally confirm (or disprove) the initial rumor of 3.5" WVGA OLED.

The first rumors for CPU speed and RAM are probably false, so we are not quite sure what to believe about the touchscreen display. What is certain of the XPERIA X2 feature set is the looks, the Windows Mobile 6.5 with the X-Panels plug-in and the QWERTY keyboard. The 8 megapixel autofocus snapper with LED flash also sounds exciting and is a major boost from the XPERIA X1. There are some unconfirmed but plausible rumored specs - roomy internal memory, GPS and PS3 remote play.

If "next week" means Monday, August 31st, then Sony Ericssonhttp://www.celluloco.com/home.php will beat the traffic with the XPERIA X2 announcement - Nokia World is coming September 2nd and we guess some pretty hot stuff will be unveiled there too. So Sony Sony Ericsson better put the hype they've built up to good use as the company needs to swiftly change its fortunes. So far rumor has it that it'll be just the XPERIA X2 on this announcement, which means we'll have to wait a while longer for the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X3, formerly known as Rachael.

Sony Ericsson XPERIA Rachael, X1's Successor to come ONSALE at Celluloco.com!

t was only two days ago that we saw the first photos of the Sony Ericsson XPERIA Rachael and now we can already confirm that it is really in the works. What's more we just received a brief video demonstrating the UI of the Android-powered handset.

We got another load of official Sony Ericsson photos of the new XPERIA member. The Rachel is this time dressed in snow-white and it looks a whole lot better this way, we might add.

What is even more exciting is that along with the official shots that have obviously popped up a little prematurely, we also received a short video-demo of the Sony Ericsson Rachael UI.

The original resolution of the video is 852 x 480 pixels, which suggests that this will also be the resolution of the Rachael display. Coming with the sweet 16:9 aspect ratio this is the highest resolution screen we have seen so far on a mobile phone.

Sony Ericsson XPERIA X2 blueprints surface the web

We've already seen leaked photos of the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X2, but here's something interesting - leaked blueprints. They don't give away much but it raises a few questions. For example, the top and bottom seem to be grills, but are they loudspeaker grills?

At any rate, these seem to be the final blueprints as they look like the leaked photos of the XPERIA X2. It would have been intriguing to see some earlier schematics so we could see the evolution of the design or even alternative designs, but these are quite interesting too.

The blueprint don't really answer one of the burning questions - is the screen really OLED? That's the one rumored major upgrade of the X2 that still holds, while the sped up CPU and the 512MB RAM seem to have been refuted.

The 8-megapixel camera with autofocus and LED flash is a sure bet and so is the arch-slider design that we first saw on the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1. A new version of the X panels is a no brainer but how about that PS3 remote play thingy? Well, the Sony Ericsson Aino has it so yeah, that's in the "features most likely to be in the XPERIA X2" list as well. Still no clue about a release date though.

Sony Ericsson XPERIA X2 shows its face on the net and Celluloco.com is sure to carry it soon!

http://www.celluloco.com/home.php

The first photo of the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X2 surfaced and brought joy to all Windows Mobile faithful. The known specs don’t get much further than what the low-res shot reveals but admit it - it’s that much sweeter at this stage with all the guessing and wishing involved.

The successor of the extremely popular XPERIA X1 is codenamed Vulcan and makes its first public appearance. Judging by the spy shot, Sony Ericsson XPERIA X2 will again run on the Windows Mobile OS (most probably 6.5) and will come with the company’s home-backed X-panels interface.

As usual with leaked shots, there is still a chance that this image is photoshopped (or a Chinese fake) as it does seem as poor piece of industrial design attempt. It’s now Sony Ericsson’s turn to clear this out by eventually officially announcing the actual XPERIA X2. And the sooner the better - we should add.
