Luxury Mobile Maker Vertu launches its first flip cellular phone... Meet Constellation Ayxta!

One can choose between various materials, sizes and manufacturers when shopping for luxury handsets but the bar form factor has always been non-negotiable. Not quite surprisingly it’s Vertu who finally decided to do something about it and come up with a clamshell.

Sporting a stainless steel body, aluminium detailing and leather elements the Vertu Constellation Ayxta can surely make its owners feel special. Along with that come the traditional for the British subsidiary of Nokia ceramic keypad and a sapphire crystal screen.

This time Vertu even decided to treat its customers to some features that are making their debut in the Constellation lineup. But don’t hold your breath as we are talking a microSD card slot, USB and a 3 megapixel camera here, rather than full HD video or optical zooming.

Vertu Constellation Ayxta is already available for prices ranging from 4,900 to 6,500 euro.
