HTC announced their world first GSM WiMax Cellphone, Max 4G

HTC announced officially the HTC Max 4G, codenamed HTC T8290. By using its WiMax you will be able to get "descent" data speed of 70Mb/sec. This WiMAX enabled high end device is exclusive for Yota WiMAX network in Russia. The MAX 4G will automatically route calls to VoIP whenever in range of the WiMAX network. The HTC MAX 4G features a 3.8 inch 800 x 480 resolution touchscreen with, runs on a 528MHz processor running Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional, and includes GPS, WiFi, an accelerometer, and 5 megapixel auto-focus still camera along with a secondary VGA camera for placing video calls.





HTC MAX 4G will be released at the end of November, 2008. It will have a rather hefty price tag of about 1050 US dollars, which gets you into a two year contract but you can get lots of free music and video content.
